China Nonferrous Metals Processing Industry Association and its delegation visited our company for research

On April 8th, Jin Haiming, Deputy Secretary General of China Nonferrous Metals Processing Industry Association, Wu Qiong, Director of Copper Industry Department, and Hu Liang, Deputy Director, visited our company for research. Zheng Jianhong, the general manager of the company, received and held discussions and exchanges with the leaders of the association.

President Zheng introduced the recent production and operation of our company. She said that in the first three months of 2020, due to the impact of the Spring Festival holiday and the COVID-19, the orders declined. From April to the end of the year, the company's orders had been in a state of oversupply, and the annual operating revenue increased by about 23% year on year. In the first quarter of 2021, only January achieved the expected target, and February and March were slightly worse than expected. March, as a traditional peak season, has to some extent suppressed the purchasing desire of downstream customers due to the high copper prices. Downstream customers mainly consume their previous inventory, resulting in a decrease in reserve inventory. In April, with the stabilization of copper prices, the order volume returned to normal levels. As of April 8th, about 25% of the plan has been completed.

Vice Secretary General Jin Haiming first expressed his gratitude to General Manager Zheng for his warm reception and long-term support, and appreciated the work done by Shimao Copper Industry in stable operation, technological innovation, and risk prevention. As a low profit industry, hedging and risk prevention are particularly important in the copper processing industry, and he hopes that the enterprise can continue to make unremitting efforts. Subsequently, a detailed introduction was given on the recent work of the Processing Association in industry data statistics, preparation for the 2021 China Copper Processing Industry Annual Conference, and other aspects. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on topics such as scrap copper imports, future copper price trends, and refined scrap price differentials.
